This Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 on Jueves de Jazz, together with you we start a new year and today I will share with you the first of 5 programs dedicated to Susanna Gartmayer, a great Austrian musician, improviser and composer, true master of the bass clarinet and one of the pillar members of a great avant-garde jazz club in Vienna called Celeste.
This afternoon we will listen to a delicious and very interesting Conversation (dubbed into Spanish) that I had last summer with Susanna Gartmayer at Celeste in Vienna shortly before the start of the Moday Improvisers Session which Susanna Gartmayer conducts once a month.
In the meantime of our Conversation (Charla) we will listen to some of the music (from a total of 26 albums to date) that Susanna Gartmayer has kindly shared with me. Wonderful music from a great representative artist of avant garde, experimental and free jazz music in Austria and all over Europe.
